In the heart of Tuscany, among gentle hills cloaked in vineyards, historic squares and landscapes that have long attracted countless travelers from around the world, there is a village that these days has also found itself in the spotlight thanks to a beautiful love story.
It is Greve in Chianti, in the province of Florence, the place chosen by Vanessa Incontrada and her longtime partner Rossano Laurini to celebrate their wedding and celebrate together with relatives and friends. The couple, who live in Follonica, thus brought their special day to one of the most representative corners of the Florentine Chianti.
Greve in Chianti, between the square and the hills in the heart of Tuscany
The presence of the couple sparked curiosity and affection among locals and visitors, but it also drew attention to the atmosphere of Greve in Chianti, a place known for its scenery, wine-and-gastronomy traditions, and the historic center gathered around Piazza Matteotti, where the town hall is located. Right here, among outdoor tables and the village’s picturesque lanes, some of the guests were seen in the hours preceding the ceremony, while others stayed in the local accommodations.
The main square represents one of the town’s emblematic sites and was chosen as well for taking photos and filming videos to capture in a memory album the most beautiful moments of the day.
Although the official wedding ceremony had already been held in a private form in Follonica, Chianti became the ideal location for the couple’s official celebrations. Yet, as Greve’s mayor, Paolo Sottani, confirmed, the newlyweds did not celebrate the civil wedding at the town hall.
The choice of Greve thus tells a more intimate and picturesque way of celebrating a wedding in Tuscany, away from the great art cities, but in a setting made of vineyards, panoramic roads and small towns. The newlyweds welcomed friends and relatives to a wonderful villa in the area to share with them moving and unforgettable moments.
A wedding between Tuscan tradition, local products, and familiar faces
Vanessa Incontrada, the renowned Italian-Spanish actress and television presenter, and entrepreneur Rossano Laurini gathered in Greve in Chianti family, friends, and several well-known figures from the world of entertainment. Among the guests were Carlo Conti, Claudio Bisio, Giorgio Panariello, Gigi D’Alessio and Gabriele Pignotta. The celebration took place at a location near the village, with a banquet also tied to the Chianti region’s local products.
At the center of the day was also the couple’s son, Isal, who had just reached adulthood. Vanessa Incontrada and Rossano Laurini have been together for about twenty years and, after a period of separation, they found their harmony again and decided to marry. For the occasion the actress wore a gown from the Milanese atelier Antonio Riva, already partially shown through a video of the fittings published on social media.
Thus Greve in Chianti’s wedding also represented an opportunity to once again showcase the charm of a territory that blends landscape, culture, gastronomy and hospitality. A village that, beyond the curiosity sparked by the event, continues to be a starting point for exploring one of Tuscany’s most famous regions.
