Russell Crowe is back on the big screen – from August 26 2026 – with an adrenaline-fueled thriller where action, suspense and moments of intense tension alternate with glam atmospheres and glimmers of nightlife.

Based on “Strip,” a novel by Thomas Perry, the film tells the story of Manco Kapak. The character played by Russell Crowe is a man with a violent past who now wants to end it in order to finally enjoy retirement with the woman he loves (Teresa Palmer).
To do so, he needs to sell the historic club he owns, but fate seems to have other plans in store. Two robbers (Aaron Paul and Nina Dobrev) burst into the venue and flee with the takings, while the cartels with whom Manco has long-standing ties close in on him again. Only the arrival in town of an unknown (Luke Evans), who is as self-assured as he is enigmatic and who immediately shows a clear intention to buy the club, seems to offer Manco a glimmer of hope.

The Perfect Vengeance – Bear Country was shot in Queensland during 2025. This northeastern Australian state, often nicknamed the “Sunshine State” because the sun hardly ever stops shining here, was chosen mainly for the variety of landscapes ranging from large metropolises to endless beaches, through rainforests and tropical islands.
The same production, in a press release, spoke of the «unbeatable combination of diverse locations found in Queensland» and of the feature that made it the natural set for Derrick Borte’s new film with Russell Crowe.
