The settings have always played a decidedly symbolic role in the Sky series featuring Emilia Fox in the role of a – almost a namesake – former British intelligence officer who has moved to Italy. Sylvia Fox did not choose a big city for her new life, in fact, but a village perched by a lake where life is still (almost) as it once was; it’s easier to form authentic bonds and feel at home. The locations for Mrs. Fox 3 reenact this sense of familiarity and genuineness: let’s discover together where the three new episodes, coming exclusively on Sky Investigation and NOW from October 28, 2026, were filmed.
What it’s about
In the new season of Mrs. Fox, Sylvia tries to regain a bit of personal balance after the kidnapping that had involved her in the previous one. Beside her still is the Carabinieri captain Giovanni Riva (Giovanni Cirfiera) with whom the relationship becomes increasingly stable and solid, despite differences in outlook and temperament. The past from which the woman, who moved to Italy after leaving a career as a British secret agent, tries to escape, continues to resurface in her life in the form of crimes and mysteries that shake the small Umbrian village where she chose to live. In this season there are three cases, one distinct for each episode: the first is the murder of the owner of a winery who had just confessed to Sylvia Fox that he felt in danger.
Where the series was filmed
Season three of Mrs. Fox was shot across Umbria and the Lazio and features locations ranging from small lakeside towns to Renaissance gems that tell the beauty and the artistic-cultural wealth of Central Italy.
Panicale
The Umbrian village where Emilia Fox/Sylvia Fox has been living for a few years is Panicale: a town in the province of Perugia, renowned for its stunning view over Lake Trasimeno and the Nestore valley (to the extent that it is often called The Terrace on Lake Trasimeno), from which the town center and the viewpoints are glimpsed several times on screen.
Bracciano
In Lazio there are several locations for Mrs. Fox 3 noted. In the surroundings of Bracciano, the medieval village overlooking the lake of the same name and famous especially for the Orsini – Odaleschi Castle, there is, for example, a country estate where several scenes were filmed.
Anguillara Sabazia
Additional filming took place in Anguillara Sabazia, as confirmed by the municipal administration. Perched on a promontory that again overlooks Lake Bracciano, this medieval village is punctuated, especially in the center, by architectural gems such as Porta Maggiore, the Medieval Tower, the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, and the Palazzo Orsini. The sets of Mrs. Fox 3 involved, however, primarily the lakeside promenade: a decidedly panoramic area, where one can enjoy a unique sunset over Lake Bracciano, widely frequented by locals thanks to the presence of bars and nightlife venues.
Albano Laziale
Albano Laziale is also among the locations where the third season of Mrs. Fox was filmed. Here, in the heart of the Castelli Romani, the Italian-British production of the Sky series shot mostly in the town center, in areas such as Piazza Guerrucci and Viale Risorgimento.
