Among the most anticipated returns of the summer is the spy series in which Oscar-winning actresses Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman play two CIA special agents dealing with secret networks, foreign agents, personal betrayals, and a delicate balance between career and private life. In the third season, coming to Paramount+ on August 3, 2026, there is also an unexpected shift in setting: let’s explore together the locations of Lioness 3.
What it’s about
The narrative keeps revolving around Joe: the character played by Zoe Saldana must contend with threats increasingly close and personal that seem to move in the shadows and, as in a circle closing in around the protagonist, threaten every aspect of her life. To guide her—professionally and personally—continues to be Kaitlyn: the supervisor, portrayed by Nicole Kidman, of the special program “Lioness” of which the agent is part.
Where the series was filmed
The first and second seasons of Lioness had surprised with locations like Paris, Mallorca, Washington, which well reflected the international nature of the shady dealings the CIA’s special agents were investigating. Lioness 3 was shot, instead, primarily in Texas between the city center of Fort Worth and its surroundings.
Fort Worth
About half an hour from the more famous Dallas, Fort Worth has earned a certain popularity as a city of rodeos and ranches, where one can still live experiences “like real cowboys.” This has happened also thanks to numerous television and film productions that have chosen it as a set: here was shot, just as a nearby example in time, the latest season of Dutton Ranch (the Yellowstone sequel).
But the locations of Lioness 3 tell a different Fort Worth: a more modern, up-to-date one that has become a reference point for artists and intellectuals, lovers of nightlife and luxury. The third season of the Paramount+ spy series with Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana was shot mostly in the downtown of Fort Worth: here the old Art Deco buildings today host trendy venues, restaurants, lounge bars, and hotels.
Speaking of hotels, the production used interiors from two of the city’s most luxurious hotels: The Sinclair and Hilton Fort Worth.
Among the addresses that Lioness fans should note are Wicked Butcher, a chic cosmopolitan-style butcher shop in the heart of downtown, and the decidedly more traditional Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse.
Some scenes from the third season of Lioness were filmed inside the Old City Hall: a public building dating back to the 1890s, when the city of Fort Worth was founded.
Other locations of Lioness 3 are found within the so-called Cultural District: an area rich with museums, from the modern art museum to the science and history museum, which represents the heart of the city’s cultural life.

Around Fort Worth, among the places where the series Lioness 3 was shot are Berkeley Place and Ryan Place: two residential neighborhoods with single-family homes and broad, American-style avenues; here, almost to emphasize that danger can hide anywhere, scenes with chases and shootouts were filmed. The area around Texas Christian University (TCU) is also easily recognizable on screen among Lioness 3’s locations.
