The Lago di Garda area is gearing up for a new romance-filled summer with the return of “Lago di Garda in Love – A Summer of Love & Friends,” the event that from August 8 to 16 transforms the Benaco into a large diffuse festival capable of involving territories, communities, and tourists. The initiative, conceived and organized by PromoE20, also confirms for 2026 the intention to highlight some of the lake’s most evocative locations with a program that blends spectacle, music, art, entertainment and moments of sharing.
For nine days the public can experience a path that winds through villages, lakeside promenades and hills, discovering the territory from a different perspective. The event involves eight Garda municipalities (San Zeno di Montagna, Brenzone sul Garda, Torri del Benaco, Garda, Lazise, Castelnuovo del Garda, Valeggio sul Mincio and Sirmione) to which three special guests are added, Soave, Montagnana and Rosolina.
Romantic Installations and Experiences Between Lake Garda and the Mountains
Throughout the festival the region is enriched by the now-traditional “in love” installations, which over the years have become one of the defining elements of the initiative: the large scenic hearts and the “Selfie in Love” stations, positioned in Lazise, Garda and Torri del Benaco, offer the opportunity to capture one’s passage at the emblematic venues of the event.
Among the most representative experiences is the famous Bacio ad alta quota on the Malcesine-Monte Baldo cable car, a proposal that symbolically joins the Garda shores with the peaks of Monte Baldo, offering an exceptionally evocative panorama.
Art installations, scenic viewpoints and themed settings accompany residents and tourists along the entire route of the festival, inviting them to experience the territory with a fresh perspective and to let themselves be carried away by the atmospheres crafted for the occasion.
A Rich Calendar of Music, Theater, and Traveling Performances
The program kicks off on Saturday, August 8 in Sirmione with “Music in Love,” a evening entrusted to the band Idea Fissa, which offers a musical journey through the great hits of the Seventies, Eighties and Nineties.
Sunday, August 9 Garda becomes the protagonist with a family day thanks to the Palio dei Bambini. In the evening there is room for theater with a show curated by the Fondazione Aida and for starry-night photographic projections, a blend of culture and entertainment.
The Night of Saint Lawrence brings the audience to Montagnana, where Rocca degli Alberi hosts “Il Borgo dei Desideri” that alternates stories, music and creative workshops curated by the group MÈCA, culminating in the final moment dedicated to the drawing of the “special wish.” On the same day Rosolina hosts the presentation of the book The Sea Does Not Forget.
Lazise is at the heart of the event on August 11 and 12. On Tuesday the historic center hosts the itinerant stilt show “Meraviglia dei Cigni” (Wonder of the Swans), while the following day the Porto Vecchio hosts the MITO’S Pop Symphony Orchestra with a repertoire that retraces famous soundtracks and pages of international music with pieces such as “For a Fistful of Dollars”, “Oblivion” and “Once Upon a Time in the West”, alternated with pieces of great virtuosity.
From Food to the Grand Ferragosto Events
On August 13 the schedule moves to San Zeno di Montagna with a food area featuring gourmet trucks and the Devius Band concert.
The Eve of Ferragosto, Torri del Benaco frames the itinerant show “Les Montgolfières”, a poetic stilt parade inspired by the fantastical journey narrated by Jules Verne, designed to involve adults and children along the town’s streets.
On August 15 in Castelletto di Brenzone comes to life “Una Tavola Infinita”, an event dedicated to the flavors of land and water, accompanied by live music, moments of gathering and a lakeside DJ set, while in Valeggio sul Mincio the Mamaor opens to the public, a symbolic place dedicated to nature and sharing, where attendees can also join an aperitif with pizza.
The festival concludes on Sunday, August 16 at the Lido Campanello di Castelnuovo del Garda: from 17:00 to 23:00 Lido in Love offers a day of tasting local flavors, magic shows with the Magician Karen and the large illuminated heart, on which visitors can leave a message dedicated to love.
