Following the awards assigned by airport size and geographic area, the recognitions arrive that place at the center the quality of the experience lived by passengers. They are the ASQ Customer Experience Awards 2025 from ACI World, which reward the world’s most appreciated airports for aspects such as hospitality, ease of the journey, enjoyment, and cleanliness.
The results are based on assessments collected directly from travelers through the ASQ surveys, with over 700 thousand passengers involved each year in more than 400 airports worldwide. Focusing on the European dimension, the Italian airports stand out, winning several awards.
The Italian airports awarded
Italy stands out with as many as 12 new overall recognitions in the latest ASQ Customer Experience Awards. The largest haul goes to Rome Fiumicino, which after already winning the award in the Best Airport at Departures category (in the European airport category with over 40 million passengers), appears in four other sections: Most Dedicated Staff, Easiest Airport Journey, Most Enjoyable Airport, and Cleanest Airport.
Following is Milan Linate, which received the Airport Service Quality Customer Experience Award 2025 from ACI World, ranking among the best European airports in the category of airports handling between 5 and 15 million passengers, based on the travelers’ overall judgment. The airport, operated by SEA, earned three major recognitions: Best Airport at Departures in its own category, Most Dedicated Staff, and Easiest Airport Journey in Europe.
These awards thus confirm passengers’ appreciation for Linate’s overall experience quality, for the professionalism and availability of the staff, and for the efficiency of an airport journey designed to be simple, intuitive, and smooth. In addition to these results, there is Level 4 of the ACI Airport Customer Experience Accreditation, an attestation that recognizes the maturity of the approach to customer experience and the ability to transform passengers’ voices into concrete actions to improve their journey.
Among the other Italian airports honored is Rome Ciampino, which obtains three recognitions: Best Airport at Departures in the 2-5 million tier, Most Dedicated Staff, and Easiest Airport Journey. Finally, Torino Airport is recognized for Most Dedicated Staff and as Cleanest Airport.
