Halloween at Cinecittà World: Family-Friendly Thrills and Adrenaline

October 6, 2026

Let me start by saying that I am a fan of Cinecittà World, loving cinema in all its facets while also being a big Halloween enthusiast, fond of horror films. I should add that among my two children, one is fearless, the other more timid. This preface explains why Halloween at Cinecittà World, the horror-themed month that began on October 3 and will run through October 31, is suited for all ages and for every level of fear tolerance, with attractions ranging from adrenaline-pumping to less frightening.

The program runs from a show in the grand theater, themed on Rocky Horror Picture Show (kudos to the performers, all superb) to the haunted house; from classic 3D attractions that always delight the kids, to new horror attractions, such as The Haunted Theatre, where the presence of real actors in makeup and monstrous costumes gives shivers to the bravest.

Cinecittà World: Halloween 2026 updates

One of the park’s 2026 novelties is indeed The Haunted Theatre, “an old Broadway theater where, since 1930, damned souls drift between life and death. A new horror route that invites guests to find the courage to cross the threshold and confront the unknown.” But the fear also doubles in the new rooms of the Horror House, a themed cinematic immersion, with sets, nightmare-inducing atmospheres and close encounters with flesh-and-blood actors.

Not to mention the characters roaming the park in disguises (and available for photo opportunities). Zombies, witches, and the beloved-yet-feared Pennywise, a proper tribute this year to the recently departed Tim Curry, who brought to life the shapeshifting monster born from Stephen King’s pen in the famous 1990 TV miniseries It.

New attractions dedicated to the youngest visitors

But no excessive fear: even the less brave and younger visitors have plenty to enjoy. The season’s big novelty is dedicated to the little ones with Spooky Town Playground, the largest indoor playground with live actors, where play meets the Halloween atmosphere in an experience designed to exorcise small fears and turn them into fun. Meanwhile, in the Village of Little Shivers, there await straw mazes, pumpkins, magical trees, candy houses and bewitched apples, together with the makeup station to transform into their favorite little monster, surrounded by witches and friendly ghosts.

All in all, a day suitable for the whole family, where every age and level of bravery can find their own fun. Anticipating the grand finale arriving on the weekend of October 31, when the party continues late into the night with live shows, themed dinners, music and a DJ set.
