For all lovers of slow and romantic travel where ever-changing landscapes glide by the window, all this is about to become reality thanks to Railbookers, a British agency specialized in rail journeys, with the new adventure “Around the World by Luxury Train”.
Following the success of the 57-day itinerary “Around the World By Rail” from 2019, the package for 2024 is ready to take passengers to extraordinary places aboard luxury carriages.
The Stops of the Ultra-Luxury Rail Adventure
The refined and thrilling round-the-world journey will begin on August 28, 2024 in Vancouver, aboard the Rocky Mountaineer that will traverse the Canadian Rockies to the town of Jasper, in the eponymous National Park enriched by forests, rivers and glacial lakes.
From here, travelers will move to Calgary in Alberta from where a flight will depart for Europe to discover Budapest, Edinburgh, Florence, London, Paris, Rome and Venice.
In fact, after arriving in the splendid lagoon city, three nights are planned in Florence and then in Rome before flying to Delhi: from the Indian city one boards the iconic, modern and comfortable Maharajas’ Express up to Mumbai, with stops at the famous Taj Mahal, at the Amber Fort in Jaipur and at the City Palace of Udaipur.
From Mumbai by air to Istanbul with a 3-night stay and two days in Cappadocia where one can partake in a relaxing journey on the carriages of the Golden Eagle Danube Express with plush velvet armchairs, carpets and wood finishes, and traverse Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary up to Budapest.
But it doesn’t end there.
A new flight will carry passengers to South Africa, to Johannesburg, where, after a visit to Kruger National Park, the Rovos Rail will take them from Pretoria to Cape Town in the refined Pullman Suite.
After four nights in Cape Town, it’s time to depart for Singapore and enjoy three nights aboard one of the world’s finest luxury trains, the unmistakable Eastern & Oriental Express.
