La Pelosa among the world’s most beautiful beaches
La Pelosa takes the 47th place in the 2026 Big 7 Travel ranking, confirming itself as one of Italy’s great coastal wonders. Located in Stintino, on the northwest tip of Sardinia, the beach is renowned especially for its turquoise waters and shallow depths, so crystal clear and calm as to evoke Caribbean lagoons.
It is precisely this feature that impressed the Big 7 Travel editorial team, who consider La Pelosa an ideal destination for those who love swimming and activities such as paddleboarding. The landscape, with the transparent sea and intense colors, completes a particularly evocative setting, capable of attracting numerous visitors every summer.
The beach’s popularity has however required careful management of tourist flows during the summer months, in order to protect a natural environment so precious. A delicate balance between tourism and protection that helps preserve the beauty of one of Sardinia’s most famous coastlines.
The top of the ranking
To claim the first place is instead Anse Source d’Argent, on the island of La Digue, in the Seychelles. The beach stands out for a nearly surreal landscape, dominated by enormous granite boulders that shield the coast from winds and frame the low-water lagoons.
The white sand and the bright waters, the calm seas and the spectacular rock formations have made Anse Source d’Argent one of the most photographed beaches in the world. It is a destination particularly suited to swimming and to those seeking relaxation, snorkeling and year-round diving in a tropical environment of great charm.

The Big 7 Travel ranking has reached its eighth edition and is devised by combining various elements: media results, official recognitions such as the Blue Flag, attention and popularity on social media and evaluations by the editorial team.
